Third grade has been working very hard learning their multiplication facts. They enjoy playing multiplication games for extra practice. We also just completed a unit on graphing. While working in groups, the students surveyed both classes about their favorite things. Then they compiled data into bar graphs. This was a great way to get to know each other, while doing math. We continue to review math concepts through Dreambox and ORIGO Fundamental games.
For reading we are exploring expository non-fiction texts. Students have collaborated in small group and with partners. They enjoy sharing the new information they learned in the form of a book report, as well as sharing with partners. They learned about many new topics ranging from venomous animals, to the life of Dr. Seuss, and important people in history.
