The Robinson School Ecology Club attended the "High 5 Illinois" event at historic Wagner Farm located in Glenview. Wagner Farm is one of the last working dairy farms in Cook County with cow pastures, chickens, draft horses, and pigs as well as a restored farm house from the late 1800's. Students learned about plant varieties and the ecology of food production in Illinois, focusing on soybeans and corn. Students especially enjoyed sitting in a farmer's tractor and petting a cow. This fun and engaging learning experience was sponsored and paid for by the Cook County Farm Bureau.
