First grade students in Mrs. Mutters' class participated in the Scholastic Book Clubs' Classrooms Care program and recently met their goal of reading 50 books. By simply reading themselves, students helped to put books in the hands of children who need them. Mrs. Mutters helped her class keep track of their books read and reported to Scholastic Book Clubs once they finished. Classes that read 50 books by May 14th will help donate 250,000 books to children on military bases whose parents are serving our country through Scholastic Book Clubs' charity partners. We would like to congratulate our students for reaching their reading goal and learning the importance of helping other students to read.
