READING RALLY 2013-2014
The purpose of the District 103 Reading Rally is to promote good reading habits throughout life. Students are encouraged to choose books according to their interests. In turn, they are rewarded with points per page read. Adults may count their personal reading, which gives additional points to their student. Forms are available from Homeroom/ Advisory teachers in the Elementary and Middle Schools. Each month, points are recorded by the teacher. Students can also earn 2 bonus points for each Public Library event they attend. (for example: story times, crafts, etc.) Adults attending adult events at the Public Library, also earn 2 points for their student.
This year, the Rally runs from October 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014. The Traveling Trophy (presently at Edison School) will be awarded in Spring, along with individual certificates to students with the highest accumulated points.
