Welcome to Mrs. Dentzer’s Art Class!

Our art program aligns with all state standards in art and focuses on the process of creating and experimenting with different materials, tools and processes. Students will learn about art history, culture, famous artists and learn the skills necessary to excel in art beyond the elementary level while building on all the knowledge they get from other subjects. Our art program is interdisciplinary meaning that I draw my art lessons from many sources, combining art making with all of the other school subjects. We experiment with many different tools and materials and create artwork in 2-D and 3-D formats. We explore the lives of professional artists, learn about artistic movements throughout history and investigate multi cultural art and artists from all over the world.
