Bulldogs are District 103 Champs Again !

Congratulations to both the Edison Bulldog Boys and Girls basketball teams on their outstanding efforts this past weekend and coming away with the District 103 Championship once again. This makes the 3^rd straight year of being the Undefeated Champions for the Girls. They have not lost a game in 3 years. Wow. For the boys, it is their 5^th Championship in the last 6 years. The girl’s dominance included a win over Robinson in their first game, and then proceeded to defeat the Lincoln Leopards 27-7 in the Championship game. Both were great games by all the girls. The boys had a tougher road, having to defeat a tough Robinson team Friday night in order to advance to the Championship game for the 6^th straight year. The #1 ranked Lincoln Leopards gave them all they could handle in regulation, but after being down by 4 points with time running out, the Bulldogs tied the game on an amazing 3 pointer to send the game to overtime. The Bulldogs played tough defense and went on to win 27-23 in overtime to again claim the District 103 Championship! Coach Gipson was extremely proud of all the players from both teams!
