Ms. Stuart's 3rd grade art classes recently had the opportunity to compete in the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest. For this contest, students were to realistically draw or paint a species of duck native to North America, pictured in its natural habitat. Over 22 schools participated in the Illinois judging of this contest. Two Costello students, Jacklyn Alfred and Vincent Carmona received 2nd and 3rd place state ribbons respectively.
